The New Zealand Electrical Assessment Programme (NZ EAP) covers the following modules:

  • Electrical Safe Working Practice and Risk Assessment - New Zealand Context
  • Multiple Earth Neutral System and New Zealand Wiring Standards - New Zealand Context
  • Electrical Testing and Verification - New Zealand Context
  • Electricity Act
  • Electrical Safety Regulations
  • ECP 34 Safe Working Distances
  • AS/NZS 3760:2010
  • AS/NZS 3003:2011

Great Britain Construction Training also offer a refresher course that is set around electrical principles, this allows the candidate to come into the classroom environment and get used to being in front of a teacher whilst refreshing their memory on standard electrical principals. Conditions:

  • Have a minimum of 4 years work experience within which they have obtained the skills in paragraph 1(2) of Clause 1 of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.
  • Pass the 3rd stage theory examination in the subject matter detailed in paragraph (a) of Clause 2 of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.
  • Pass a regulations examination in the subject matter detailed in paragraph (b) of Clause 2 of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.
  • Pass the 3rd stage practical assessment or practical examination in the subject matter detailed in paragraph (c) of Clause 2 of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.
  • Complete the safety instruction requirements of Clause 3 of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Regulations 1997

  • GBCT will help each candidate with filling out an application to the EWRB (Electrical Workers Registration Board)
  • AS/NZS regulations and student workbooks

  • All course dates are final (unless GB Construction Training specify an amendment with notice to student). 
  • Student can not change their course dates after initial deposit. The student also agrees that full payment must be received 6 weeks prior to the programme commencement date with full payment being requested prior to receiving study materials. 
  • Failure to make full payment will result in student unable to sit the exam(s)/assessment(s) used to obtain licence, and will not receive a refund on any fees already paid. 
  • Assessment dates are confirmed upon purchase.

 

Oyster Card: If you are planning on not driving to the GB Construction Training centre, please select Add On: Oyster Card option. You will receive the Oyster Card when you receive your workbooks. The public transport system in London is very well connected. We are able to provide you with an Oyster Card with £10 credit so you can start using it as soon as you arrive in the UK. The Oyster Card can be used on Buses, Tube (Underground), Trams, DLR, and some National Rail services in London. An Oyster Card uses credit when you need it and doesn't expire, and ensures you are always charged the cheapest fare.

The NZ Electrical Assessment 8 Day Programme will be delivered at the Great Britain Construction Training purpose built facilities Unit 10 Isleworth Business Complex, St Johns Road Isleworth TW7 6NL.
